Happiness is so easy that it’s hard. It is so simple that we take it for granted.

Happiness is so easy that it’s hard. It is so simple that we take it for granted.

Happiness is easy and it is simple. Do you want to be happy?  Really, do you.  It is so easy we make it hard.  It is so simple that we take it for granted.

Do you really want to be happy? Follow this simple steps and you will be happy!  Or you can over think it, debate it, say it does not work and not be happy.  That is your choice.

Step One: Every morning you wake up, say thank you that I am alive.  You can say it to God:  If you want more read Appendix One:  Or you can say it to the wall, or into the mirror, or to the first person you meet.

Step Two: Smile when you get ready to face the day!

Step Three: Find one good thought to hold on to throughout the day.  Don’t let anyone take it from you.

Step Four: Pay it forward a little every day.  Just because you can’t help everyone and solve every problem does not mean you cannot do one little thing a day.  Pay forward spare change, or good news

Step Five: Resist Gossip, Bad News, Anger and Hate.  Now this one is hard read Appendix Two if you need more:

Step Six: Realize, the more “Happy” you are, the more of a target you will become to those who are not happy.  Will you let them knock you down and rob you of your Happiness?

Appendix One: Every morning you wake up, say thank you that I am alive.  You can say it to God:  (Whichever one you worship because in the end we will learn that it all goes to the same place, it was just that people wrapped faith up in politics and traditions, but God is God so just be thankful to God)

Appendix Two: Gossip, Bad News, Anger and Hate are all around you.  Learn to tune it out.  You can be aware of your surroundings without agreeing and spreading gossip, bad news, anger and hate.  Try spreading Good News, Love and Understanding.  Do you want to be Happy?  Happiness is a choice.  You cannot be Happy and continue to choose the most negative energy to spread.

Happiness is so easy that it’s hard. It is so simple that we take it for granted.  Do you really want to be happy?  Follow these six simple steps!

Step One:  Be Thankful for everyday!

Step Two: Smile

Step Three: Find one good thought to hold on to throughout the day

Step Four: Pay it forward a little every day.

Step Five: Resist Gossip, Bad News, Anger and Hate

Step Six: Realize, the more “Happy” you are, the more of a target you will become!

Can you do this, really; can you.

Try it for a week or two. Then try it for a month.  Then a year!  Then why not try it forever?

Happiness is so easy that it’s hard. It is so simple that we take it for granted.

Saying is easy but doing is where it is at.

No this is not proper English; No this is not grammatically correct.  It is easy for people to say what needs to be done.  It is harder to do what needs to be done, but that is where it is at.  Welcome to 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  Bear with me, let me explain.  Saying is easy but doing is where it is at.

Where it is at; what is it?  To understand it, you must understand Mojo, Moxy, the power of the cool factor.  Sometimes I wonder if I have it, sometimes I am sure I have it.  Sometimes I wonder if I am miss-understood.  Other times I am convinced I am on the right track.  My track is to get people to stand up for what they believe in and take action.  My track is to inspire people to do what they believe needs to be done.  Doing is where it is at.

How many times have you heard someone say that someone should do this, that or the other?  Someone says that someone should do.  How come people are always waiting for someone else to do the things they say they believe in?  Saying is not where it is at.  Pushing it off on others is a cop-out.  Saying someone else should do it is basically just complaining.  Doing is harder, it takes guts and it takes faith.  Doing is where it is at.  If you believe in something, take action.  Get involved.  Find out the truth for yourself.

So all of us have a choice, I think the choice is obvious.  Learn to do for yourself and then teach others to do for themselves.  Doing is where it is at.  So again, I say learn the truth and learn to do for yourself.

Do I know the truth?  That is a subject for another day.  Today I declare that saying is easy but doing is where it is at.  Be a doer.  Be a person who puts their words into action.  Doing is where it is at!

Simple does not mean easy.

Do you have a nice simple dream?  Do you have a simple little project you want to undertake?  Do you have that thing you have always wanted to get done?  The best way to get started is to get started, but do not confuse simple with easy.  Simple does not mean easy.  A simple idea does not mean you get a free pass to snap your fingers and wait for magic to happen.  Simple means simple; but if living your dream was easy everyone would do it.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not telling you to make this complicated just to make this complicated.  Anything worth doing is worth doing well and to the best of your ability.  You can keep your ideas simple, but do not mistake that with meaning they will be easy to attain.  Most of the time you still need to be able to build on your dreams, you need to build on your goals and you need to build on your talents.  You may have to get around people who have done the things you want to do and reached the goals you want to reach.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help even though you may have a simple idea.

You see simple and easy are not the same thing.  Surfing the Internet is easy.  Creating the internet was very complicated.  Also the first versions of the internet and web service and computer hardware and web browsers were complicated.  It took a long time for the internet to become as simple as going to any coffee-house and logging into the “Facebook” or checking “Twitter.”  Simple does not mean easy.  The first mistake people make in thinking simple means easy is not respecting all the work it takes to make things look easy.

Exercising and lifting weights is simple.  Becoming a champion athlete is hard.  Playing guitar is simple, but learning to play a guitar well is hard.  Basic Electronics are simple.  Coming up with a new invention is hard.  Simple means simple, but to get good at something it still takes practice and patience and persistence.  It will get easier over time, but it does not mean it will be easy all the time.

Lots of times the people who make things look easy have practiced and planned and rehearsed until it seemed easy to the untrained eye.  Case in point, the most basic simple idea is getting people to work together.  Now, is that easy?  Have you tried?  Getting people to work together can be very rewarding, but it is not always an easy thing to do.  Again, have you tried it?  People sometimes have a tendency to make things harder than necessary.  Sometime people complicate things for any number of reasons.  Sometimes people make things complicated just to prove themselves right.

One of the basic ways to keep things simple is to just keep things simple.  Do not make things more complicated than they need to become.  Find one thing that people can agree on and give it a try.  Keep it simple.  Keep it basic.  Staying on track and reaching your goals is hard enough.  Why make things harder than needed?  Just remember, simple does not guarantee things will be easy.

What is my point?  Don’t think that because your idea may be simple that it will be easy.  Also don’t make things complicated, just keep things simple.  Give your ideas and dreams the respect they deserve and if they are worth it, they are worth working towards.  If your ideas, goals and dreams are worth doing, it is worth it to keep learning and practicing and getting better to reach your goals.  Keep them simple, but do not assume they will be easy.

Seven Easy Steps to Success: Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed

Seven Easy Steps to Success, yes it is that easy.  No this is not a Twelve Step Program, this is 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  I am here to encourage you.  I am here to chase my dreams.  I am here to get you to chase your dreams.  I am not a carbon copy of someone else’s ideas.  I study, I ponder, I resolve in my mind, I add my own voice.  These are my Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed

Now let me retract that statement about Seven Easy Steps, these steps are easy to say; but it is up to you to do them:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed.  Start by dreaming, start by seeing what it is you want to be doing.  It is not about what you want to have, it is about the dream you had when you were a kid, before you understood work and bills and all the stuff life throws at you.  This is about seeing clearly how your talents and purpose line up.  You have to see it for yourself first.  I can not see it for you, and you can not see it for me.  This is the easiest step, and yet so many people can not remember what they have always dreamed about doing.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Ponder, think about your dream.  How do you fit into this dream based on where you are right now in your life?  Do not attempt to live vicariously through your children, or be lost in a haze of watching other people live their dreams in Movies, on Television, on Stage, in a Book or at a Sporting Event.  This is your chance to break your daydreams down into ideas.  This is your dream, not someone else’s dream.  Ponder, think about how you can spend a little bit of each day or each week living a part of your dream.  This about doing not having, remember you have to do this for yourself.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Think before you speak.  Simple rules, simple live lessons; if you have spent some time Dreaming and Pondering do not be afraid to Speak about your Dream.  Talk to people until you find people who think and dream the same way you do.  Do not worry if people make fun of your dream, they may not have a dream they are chasing.  Now listen to this one piece of advice, if you speak to someone about your dream and they say you are dreaming; it is a compliment.  You are dreaming remember, but now you are in the third step of that dream.  You are talking about it.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Act, this may be on of the hardest and most frustrating steps of success.  To Act, to be or not to be, that is the question.  You have to act, you have to create the action that will attract the right people who can help your reach your dream.  None of us do it alone, and none of us do it overnight.  You have seen it, you have thought about it, you have talked about it, now it is time to build it.  Build it and they will come.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Practice makes perfect.  If your dream is worth while, you will have to practice.  No one wakes up one day goes to a basket ball court for the first time and sinks a basket and is then immediately called up by a professional team and gets to quit their day job all in one day.  If you have seen it or heard of it, it was a movie or television show.  If your dream is worth doing, then it is worth practicing.  Now, learn to have fun while you practice, learn to work with other people while you practice.  You are half way there.  This stage is half the battle.  You are half way home, do not give up now.  Do not let what other people are saying or doing keep you from practicing what it is you want to do.  Develop positive habits that will help you reach your dream one day.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Improve; this might be the trickiest step for most people.  If you did not need to get better at anything, you would already be living your dream and you would not be reading this post.  Can you step back and look at your strengths and your weaknesses?  Will you allow yourself to be coached to the next level?  Can you coach someone else so they can reach their dreams?  Again, this is the hardest step in the process.  Do you know where you fit in and where you can get better?  Do you know how you can best help your team win?  There are many people who work in the background to make other people look better.  Are you comfortable working behind the scenes on successful teams or projects?  No one can answer this for you; you have to be willing to understand how and where you fit in to the big picture.

Seven Easy Steps to Success:  Dream, Ponder, Speak, Act, Practice, Improve, Succeed:  Success; so easy to say, so hard to do.  The hardest thing to figure about success is how do you measure success?  Is it having more free time to do the things you love?  Is it being paid to do something you love instead of paying someone to do it as a hobby?  Is it making the most money or winning the most games?  What is success?  To me, success is anything that helps bring you one step closer to your goals and dreams.  Success is a series of small wins that lead to big wins.  Sports teams do not win a championship at the start of a season.  They win and lose games and hopefully put themselves in place to be there at the end when the championship is decided.  Life long dreams are not won or lost in one day, they are built upon one day at a time.  You will win some, you will lose some along the way.  Reward the small wins, improve after small loses; but learn to track your progress.  This may take more thinking, more acting, more practice and more improvement.  You may have to speak positive and assuring words to yourself and your team; you can not short cut this process. Why the easy way out is the hardest and worse option.

Don’t take the easy way out.  If your life is hard you must change.  Do not give in to the “stay the same” game.  Every time when confronted with the easy way out, you will find it is the worse option and it is the hardest way in the end.  WordPress readers, lend me your eyes and your imagination for a moment.   The easy way out is a trap.  I will attempt to show why the easy way out is the hardest and worse option.

Imagine for a moment you are confronted with a situation.  You can either take one of two choices, the easy way or the hard way out.  Whenever possible do not pick the easy way out.  Before you choose, stop for a moment and realize there are actually three choices; the easy way, the hard way and the smart way.  See who ever is giving you the choice is saving the best option for them self.  Don’t be fooled.  Look at all the facts and ask a few more questions.  The best way is not always the most apparent choice.

The easy way out is a trap.  You can’t learn and grow by doing things the easy way.  You have to learn what the value of a hard days work is… you also have to learn how to work smart.  Most people will try to take the easy way, and nothing will ever change for them.  No things will slowly get worse.  The easy way out is a crowded road with no reward.  You will sink deeper and deeper into debt.  Quick and easy never leads to quick or easy.  In the end, the easy way out is the worse option.

The hard road is a road less traveled   You will learn much more about your self and what you are made of when you travel the hard road, the road less traveled.  Now that being said; don’t be fool hardy.  Stay on a safe path.

The best option is the smart option. You see, if given a choice between the easy way and the hard way, the easy way is a trap.  The hard way is a challenge, and the smart way is invisible.  Maybe you should ask a few more questions and check the facts before you make your choice.

Why do people want things to stay the same?  Listen, time changes all things.  So you better get used to change.  Things and people come and go.  Jobs, bosses, opportunities are always coming and going.  Times are changing.  Technology is evolving and you have to be able to ask the right questions.  The smart way is the best way, but the hard way proves to be better than the easy way.  If you take the easy way, you learn nothing, you do not change and you get left behind.  If you take the hard way, you will learn, you will be rewarded and you will be able to catch up.  But if you wait, and ask the right questions and learn the right lessons, you can learn that knowledge and truth will become apparent in time.  You will then know when to work hard and when to work smart and when to wait.  You will learn and grow and you can make the changes it takes to be successful.

The easy way is the worse way.  Have you ever noticed how people how complain the most, never seem to want to do the work.  They want things to stay the same, and they want someone else to do the work.  Listen, things are going to change over time, everything does.  You have to work hard enough to just keep up with the times.  Don’t you want to get ahead?  Well, you may have to work a little harder, and learn a few things along the way.  The easy way, the hard way and the smart way; the hard way can lead to the smart way, the easy way never does.

Learn to work hard, and then learn to work smart.  Working smart is knowing how to face your fears, it is learning from those who have put their time in and mastered what you are chasing.  Chase your dreams, they don’t chase you.  People who work smart seem lucky, but it is because they learned the hard lessons first.  People who take the easy way out, never learn anything; then when times change, they get left behind.  Don’t get left behind.  Learn to ask the right questions.  Ask the extra questions before you make your choice.

If the only choices you have is the easy way out, or the hard way; say, I am waiting for a better way.  If there is a third option you will find out soon enough.  See it all for what it is worth. If you can’t ask an extra question or two, can you really trust the person giving you the options?

Maybe this all seemed better in my head before I started typing this, or maybe my intended meaning is coming through.  Learn that you have more than one or two options before you make your choice.  When presented with the easy way and the hard way; look for third option, the best way.  Ask extra questions.  Get extra answers.  Take a minute to find out the truth.  If everyone seems to be going one way, ask yourself; is that the way you want to go.  Are you just going with the flow?  It may seem hard to blaze your own trail, but that might be the best thing for you.
