Reaching the world, one click at a time:

Reaching the world, one click at a time:

60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo has reached 110 countries so far this year alone.

Do you have something worth saying?  Do you?  Do you feel like it is impossible to make a difference?  Now I have one final question.  Have you tried?

Changing the word is not easy, but it is simple.  First and foremost you must have something to say.  Then you must have something worth doing.  Even with those things, the world will not change.  You then have to spread the word and do the work.  Even then the world may not change, but at least you have tried.

I started blogging a few years ago.  I blogged and I kept it quite.  I waited for people to find me.  Guess what, nothing happened.  Then I started inviting and challenging others to do one simple thing, spread good news. Slowly but surely I started connecting and linking with people who felt the same way.  Did we agree on everything?  No; but we agreed on one simple thing, to spread good news.  Did everyone stay?  No; some people came and went and did their own thing.  Did that stop me?  No; I vowed that if I could just reach one person it would be worth it.  I am reaching people one click at a time.  On LinkedIn and on Facebook and thanks to search engines and linking to the News Herald Blog Section in my town; I am reaching people one click at a time.

So has the world changed?  I am not sure if I have helped or not; I may not be able to change the world, but maybe I can get through to one or two people here and there and set an example that no matter what I am going through, I can find one good thing to say every day.  At least once a week or so I can take an hour and write in my blog and post it for people to find.  Find something good about every day and share it.  Invite others to do the same.  Maybe the world can change on click at a time.

So here we are in 2016 and 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo is reaching 110 Countries around the world.  One mouse-click at a time; Yes believe it or not, I have logged as few as one click this year in some countries.  Maybe that is just a random mistake?  Who knows?  Well over 36 countries have logged 10 clicks or more.  Maybe it is just one person per country checking in once a month.  That is more than enough for me.  And 8 countries have logged 100 clicks or more in 2016.  Hey maybe it is all just spam robot web crawler clicks, all I can do is keep trying and keep inviting others to spread good news.

Thank you to everyone, everywhere who has found 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  I vow to keep at it.  One day, one week, one month and one click at a time.  Reaching the world, one click at a time; 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo has reached 110 countries so far this year alone.  Thank you again and again and again.

Mojo Rising:

Mojo Rising:

I started this blog, 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo in 2011: I published twenty posts and waited for people to find me. In 2012 I went from less than 100 views the year before to over 5000 views. I was happy that 10 or 15 people a day were checking in on what I had to say. I tried to post something every couple of days, 3 times a week on average, 185 posts for the year. Did I really have that much to say or was I just saying the same things over and over.

4 Years of Growth

Here I am in 2016 and my blog has continues to grow.  No it has not gone viral and I am not a web sensation or a big time author or speaker. I am just some guy who holds down a corner of social media and even though I have thousands of connections on LinkedIn and Facebook, most people find me via Google.

Now I post once or twice a week and I get more views in a year than when I was posting three times a week. Do I still post the same things over and over? Pretty much, I tell people to think, speak, act and learn from doing. I tell people to give back and make a difference in their community. I believe we can make the word a better place, but it has to be on purpose. It will not happen if we don’t get involved. So get involved. Don’t wait for someone else. Yes invite others, but if they don’t show up; go anyway.

Find a church or a charity and get involved. Spread good news over gossip and try to encourage others. So guess who is the hardest for me to get through to with my message???  The people closest to me. I don’t have a magic wand, I just have big dreams, big ideas and these things take time. So should I just give up?  Yeah that is what all the leadership books say.  All the Leadership Books say if your Family and Friends cannot see your dream you should give up right?

No, they say Dream Big. Learn by doing. Learn by studying and correcting your course of action. That the Overnight Success takes Ten Years; that you should help others be successful and all boats will rise with the tide. That you should listen to your inner voice and follow your bliss and the universe will pour out to you with the same measure that you give to others.  I believe in Seed Time and Harvest so I continue to Plant and Water. I cannot control the harvest. God gives the increase. Not on my time but His Time. So in time, I am thankful for everyone who takes the time to read this blog, but get involved and share your story.

Top Ten Most Found Motivational Mojo of 2014

Top Ten Most Found Motivational Mojo of 2014

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey.

1: Standing up for what you believe in is the right thing to do.

It can be scary sometimes.  Is it the peer pressure or the fear of being rejected?  Maybe it’s the fear of losing your job or losing your friends.  Standing up for what you believe in can be a scary thing, but it is the right thing to do.

2: Why the easy way out is the hardest and worse option.

Imagine for a moment you are confronted with a situation.  You can either take one of two choices, the easy way or the hard way out.  Whenever possible do not pick the easy way out.  Before you choose, stop for a moment and realize there are actually three choices; the easy way, the hard way and the smart way.  See who ever is giving you the choice is saving the best option for them self.  Don’t be fooled.  Look at all the facts and ask a few more questions.  The best way is not always the most apparent choice.

3: The Selfless Leader:

Ask your self these defining questions.  Does your Leader actually care about you, and hold themselves to the same standards or even higher standards that they expect of others.  Does your Leader seek to help others first or help themselves first.  Does your Leader try to set up the best deal for as many people as possible regardless of who gets credit, or are they seeking more credit for themselves?  Let me ask you, who are you following?  Seek to follow or become a Selfless Leader.

4: Why Teamwork sometimes doesn’t work.

We hear it all the time; teamwork is the magic cure to everything that goes wrong in a business.  Well sometimes teamwork does not work.  And of course everyone is ready to place blame.  I can give you 4 reasons why teamwork some times does not work.  Time, Energy, Attitude and Management will make or break a team based on one condition.  If you want to know more, keep reading.  If you just want to place blame, you can stop and find your answers somewhere else.

5: T.R.U.S.T:

Con Men try to gain your trust through a series of lies.  Trust needs to be earned through Truth, Responsibility, Unity, Service and Transparency.  Take your time and check your facts before putting your trust in anyone.

6: Don’t let your mistakes define your future.

Con Men try to gain your trust through a series of lies.  Trust needs to be earned through Truth, Responsibility, Unity, Service and Transparency.  Take your time and check your facts before putting your trust in anyone.

7: Confidence, Determination and Will Power:

Can you discipline yourself to operate at your highest levels, and then influence others to operate at their highest levels, all the while finding common ground, common goals and common purpose?  Can you get people to apply their time and talents and resources to follow a common vision and reach a new level of reality that never existed outside of a dream?

8: Birds of a feather flock together.

We have all heard that before, haven’t we?  So, why do birds flock together, and why do people flock together?  Do we just say birds of a feather flock together because it rhymes and we have heard it before?  Do we study the simple things we have said our whole lives?

9: Thank you for being patient with me.

Thank you for looking past my typos and seeing my meaning behind my mistakes.  I have heard we live in a Universe built on Laws of Intention.  I think I have made my Intentions clear.  Chase your dreams and learn by doing.  Get off the couch and go after making your dream a reality.  Use your talents and find your purpose.  This blog is part of me finding my purpose.  This blog is part of me using my talents.  This blog is part of me chasing my dreams.  This blog is me learning by doing.

10: The more connected we are, the more disconnected we become.

I can blog, tweet, chat or text and reach literally thousands of people in an hour.  The problem is that in that same hour, thousands of others will blog, tweet, chat and text also.  I will get more status updates on Facebook than I will ever read.  No I don’t blog about what I had for lunch or how cute my cat is… I want to believe that if I have hundreds of friends out there that I can get a few to show up to help out a charity or clean up a park.  I don’t have a problem with lots of connections; I have a problem with lots of disconnections.  We spend some much time trying to connect on-line we don’t connect in person.  I mean I want more out of cyberspace than keg parties and random who’s zooming who.  I want to believe we can connect online and then connect offline and make a difference in this world.

Most Mojo Nations:

Most Mojo Nations:

Say that really fast a few times; Most Mojo Nation. Ok, so I am always searching for insights and trying to find some humor in the quest. For whatever reason, no matter how feeble my attempts to move my blog into a viral thing; most people reach my blog through seemingly random searches. Now since I am not a “Pro” at Search Engine Optimization, I continue to look for insights. Today’s post, what are the Most Mojo Nations in the world?

So to qualify, I figure I would do some fuzzy math. Which nations seem to be searching and finding topics or keywords that I have been posting the most often? So I asked myself, what is a good cutoff; once a month, once a week, once a day? So for the sake of argument, the cutoff is ten times a month for a year. So here is the list, in reverse order of the nations around the world who have found their way to 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo at least Ten Times a Month for a Year.

First up is a sovereign city-state and island country in Southeast Asia: Please welcome Singapore

Next Up is a federal constitutional monarchy also located in Southeast Asia: Give it up for Malaysia

Third on the list is a country located at the southern tip of Africa. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you South Africa

Now we head to a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia situated in the western Pacific Ocean: Can I get a round of applause for the Philippines

The next country is technically a continent joined with numerous smaller islands: I give you Australia

Next on the list is a country in North America consisting of 10 provinces and 3 territories. Can I get a warm welcome for Canada?

Next is the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people. The Most Mojo Nation Bronze medal goes to India

The Silver Medal Most Mojo Nation is a sovereign state located off the north-western coast of continental Europe: Let’s hear it for the United Kingdom

And now for the moment you have all been waiting for, proving that there is no place like home; the Gold Medal Winner for the Most Mojo Nation goes to the United States

So, I am sorry if I went a little bit game show host in the introductions; well really I am not sorry. I am just trying to have fun. Now the questions that comes to mind is why do I seem to be trending mostly in the North Atlantic and the South Pacific. Is it because that is where the most English is being spoken, or is it some other reason. I am sure I could pay someone to try to figure it out, or I could just enjoy the ride. I choose to enjoy the ride, I hope you have also.

Thank you for finding me on the Interweb, I will see you next time.

Happy Renew Year!

Yes, I know you are thinking do I mean Happy New Year?  Yes and No, but No; I mean Happy Renew Year.  Welcome to 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  I have a slightly different take on things.  So today and every day of 2014 make it your Renew Year!

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day bring resolutions where we make promises to ourselves to change.  Well with Renew Year you have a chance to renew yourself.  You can make up your own mind what you want to work on and then work on it.  If you slip and fall, get back up and start over.  Renew Year.  It is not a one shot deal, stay at it until you break through and reach your goals!

Happy Renew Year.  Recharge, Refresh, Reboot, Restart, Renew!  What ever it takes, take a minute and think it over.  If you need to take a weekend to recharge, then do it.  If you need to refresh your perspective, then do it.  If you need a day to reboot your thinking, then do it.  If you need to restart to reach your goals, then do it!  Renew yourself this year.

Feel good about your efforts!  Feel good about your goals!  Fell good about yourself as long as you are trying.  And if you fail, get back up and try again.  Feel good about yourself as long as you are willing to try!

Happy Renew Year.  Take a minute and give yourself one thing you always wanted to do and work toward doing it.  Do it this year.  Take steps this year.  Make a choice this year.  Do something different this year.  One day at a time, one step at a time, one thing at a time; do it this year.

Happy Renew Year!

The Best of the Rest of 60 Seconds Of Motivational Mojo.

What at were without self-reflection.  Is there not a famous quote about the unexamined life?    Not too long ago I did a list of post that had passed the 100 view threshold.  These posts are the Best of the Rest of 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  These posts are almost at that 100 View mark, 70% or Higher of maybe just above C-Level:

The more connected we are, the more disconnected we become.

Maybe all of this Social Media is really making us Anti-Social.  Should we turn all this stuff off and start talking to each other again?

Maximum Muscle Madness – The Road Warrior Workout:

A very simple fitness routine I follow when I am on the road.

Lots of little things add up to big things.

They say a penny saved is a penny earned.  Saving a lot of pennies adds up.  Sometimes we forget to do something big, we need to break it done into lots of little things that add up.

Today is my day.

Make up you mind that today can be your day also!

The truth that hurts versus the lie you want to hear.

I am somewhat amazed this post is sitting just outside of the 100 view mark.  Sometimes I wonder, would we rather be lied too in a nice way than hear the truth?

Confidence, Determination and Will Power:

These three traits are hard to quantify, but they go a long way in become a success.

The Five E-s of Leadership:

Do you have what it takes to be a leader?

PR4C71C3 M4K35 H4RD 7H1N65 345Y.

This one is a super simple code that you can crack just by looking.

If you don’t do it, someone else will.

If you don’t act on your good idea, some one else will.

Fight the battle with the confidence that you have already won!

Know when victory is yours and fight the right battles for all the right reasons!

Stop trying to carry the load of others all by yourself.

Than being said, know when you have a team that you can count on!

If no one has called you crazy, you are not trying hard enough.

I keep trying regardless of how many people think I am crazy.

Maximum Awesomeness!

There is Awesomeness in you.  Make up your mind to use it for good!

The world is not fair, deal with it!

Come on, we are all not born into royal families.  So pick yourself up from where you are and keep moving forward!

The 60 Seconds Of Motivational Mojo Hot 100.

Welcome to a quick recap of the most viewed posts of 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  The 60 Seconds Of Motivational Mojo Hot 100.  This is not the Top 100 Posts.  No this is the Post that crossed that Magic Threshold of 100 Views or More on or before August 1st 2013.  Are they my favorite or best posts?  Who can say?  They are the ones that have seem to be found the most often.  They were picked by you the readers.  As much as I try to nudge things along, your searches are what have made these the most viewed posts on 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.

Maximum Muscle Madness

This post rocketed to the top of my most viewed daily right from the start, it did not slow down until it reached the top spot.  It is still a consistent Top Ten Daily Most Viewed.  Maybe I am supposed to be a fitness guru?

Life is like a rollercoaster. The question is which hill do we tackle first?

I think people can relate to the fact that Life is like a Rollercoaster.  I think we should tackle the Big Hills first!

Standing up for what you believe in is the right thing to do.

If any post in the Top Ten Most Viewed surprises my and satisfies me the most, it would be this one.  I think people need to stand up for what they believe in.  It seems the people have found the Motivational Mojo Channel  the most often agree.

Runners Log – June 14th 2012

This post also surprises me.  I need to get out and run more often.  Maybe karma is telling me something.

The Seven Sigma Levels of Leadership:

I have spent my entire engineering career building and studying control systems.  I applied some SPC – Statistical Process Control to the Topic of Leadership.  Some may agree, some may disagree; but it seems many have been curious enough to read it.

I am not proud of my failure, I am proud of trying again.

If there is a single post that may be at the heart and soul of what I have been trying to say within this blog; this is it.  Get up and try again.

We all love seeing the Underdog Win.

I hope we can all relate to this post.  Many of us are Underdogs.  I love seeing the Underdog win!

The Selfless Leader:

I am sure many of us have heard about or been effected by Selfish Leaders.  I feel the world would be better off if there were more Selfless Leaders out there, Leaders who always put others before themselves.

Why Teamwork sometimes doesn’t work.

This post being right behind the Selfless Leader is karma speaking to me again.  Sometimes Teammates can be selfish, and that can lead to a major breakdown in Teamwork.  Give it a view.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Another post at the heart and soul of the Motivational Mojo philosophy; if you want to chase your dream, get around others who are chasing similar dreams.

There you have it.  These 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo Post are Hotter than July.  By August 1st 2013, they were the posts that have crossed the 100 view threshold.  I hope a few more post will pass this magic number soon.  Thank you for being a part of the 60 Seconds Of Motivational Mojo Family.

What Now?

Welcome to 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo, or Welcome Back to 60 Seconds of Motivational Mojo.  If I have done what I have come to do, you are fired up; you are ready to chase your dreams.  You may have questions, I hope I have answers.  I think the most basic question is “What Now?”

So I think it is best answered if I start from the beginning.  First you have to reconnect with your childhood dreams.  All of us had dreams as a child.  God bless the children how have never lost their dreams.  For the rest of us, who have been beaten down by life in general; we have to try to remember and reconnect with our childhood dreams.  Once this connection is made the question is “What Now?”  That answer is; Get around people who have the same dream as you!

Ok so maybe you are now around people whose dreams are in alignment with yours.  “What Now?”  Well that answer is easy also.  Find out who has the same or higher level of values than you have and hang around them.  Find out who will do things the right way for the right reasons.  Find out who you can trust.  No one wants their dreams derailed by a scam or a lie do they?  Lot’s of people talk about doing the right thing, watch and find out who is actually doing the right thing.

Ok now you are around people you can trust who are doing the right thing.  “What Now?”  Easy; get involved.  Get off the bench and get into the game.  Put some action into those dreams you are chasing.  You see to catch a dream you have to run it down.  You have to chase your dream to catch your dream, so get in the game.

Alright, so now you are in the game.  You back up your words with actions.  “What Now?”  Now never stop learning.  Study the game you are playing.  You see life is just a dream and life is just a game.  But play the game the right way, follow the rules or change the game; but do it for the right reason.  Don’t stop learning.  Learn from the best!  You have already surrounded yourself with people you can trust and people whose standards are as high or higher than your own; right?

So “What Now?”  If you have committed to never stop learning, start teaching.  Coach, Mentor, Train others to chase their dreams.  You will continue to learn when you help others.  You will be able to look at things you have done before in a whole new way.  Things that are old can be new again, if you give yourself a chance to learn and teach with an open mind.

So “What Now?”  Make a difference.  Volunteer, become a leader in your community.  Do the right things for the right reasons and set the best example you possible can set.  Be the best that you can be, and help others become better at what they do.  Work within a system and help grow that system.  You will find that your dream is right around the corner.  You may be living inside your dream in no time at all.

So “What Now?”  Give it your all and never look back.  There is a saying in sports.  Leave it all on the field.  Do your best with no regrets.  No looking back, only look forward and leave it all on the field.

No more questions!
